Walking in the
Peak District

60 miles and 13,740 feet total ascent
| Having walked in the Peak District some years ago I
decided on a return visit, this time accompanied by
Marie and Sheila. From our base in Whaley Bridge we
planned to stay mainly in the north of the area, though
the weather forced us further south for a couple of
days. The walks varied from Dales to Ridges to Edges -
though the severity of the wind meant we had to curtail
our exploration of Stanage Edge! |
